White House Worked With YouTube to Censor COVID-19 and Vaccine Misinformation

In coordination with former White House director of digital strategy Rob Flaherty, YouTube actively scrubbed accounts that questioned vaccines, both in hesitancy to take the shots and in spreading what YouTube and the White House defined as misinformation regarding vaccines.

In turn, Google, which owns YouTube, sent Flaherty, who has since stepped down to run Biden’s 2024 presidential campaign, produced a list of the videos it had taken down, including some that were classified as “borderline content” that didn’t cross Google’s community guidelines.

While the White House was unavailable for comment, a YouTube spokesperson defended their actions, telling FOX Business that “we apply our policies independently, transparently, and consistently, regardless of the speaker or the political views expressed.”

In light of the newly-discovered evidence, House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan said the committee had suspected it all along. “The Committees will continue their critical investigative work to protect Americans’ First Amendment rights and put an end to the vast government censorship enterprise,” he said.
