Tennis Star Defends Decision Not to Take the COVID-19 Shot

The pandemic’s over and the true efficacy of the COVID shots is being questioned, yet, tennis star Novak Djokovic is being denied entry into the Miami and Indian Wells U.S. Opens, all because he’s not taken the COVID shots.

Even Australia changed its policy to allow Djokovic to play in their Open, and it doesn’t make sense, according to Sens. Rick Scott and Marco Rubio, who sent a letter to President Biden, asking him to grant Djokovic a waiver so he can enter the country and compete.

“It seems both illogical and misaligned with the opinions of your own administration to not grant him the waiver he requests so that he may travel to the U.S. to compete in a professional event,” the two said.

“The lack of public health risk, along with the clear benefit of his participation in an event that will be a major driver for our local economies should make the decision before you simply serve as a precedent for others in his position, while hopefully leading to the full reversal of this mandate for other foreign visitors who wish to legally travel to our great nation.”
