There’s a Surge of Fake Vaccine Cards in Colleges

As an increasing number of colleges across the U.S. — at least 664 so far — impose a mandatory COVID vaccination policy, fake vaccination cards are popping up like weeds.

One Instagram account, for example, sells them laminated for just $25. Another account advertises vaccination certificates for up to $200. Although some university systems like the University of Michigan say they have a way of weeding out the fakes, it still worries officials.

A global health policy professor told The Epoch Times that discerning the validity of vaccine cards could be difficult for some businesses. The answer, experts claim, is a digital passport that would be less susceptible to fraud. At least one doctor in California has been arrested and charged with wire fraud and other charges for allegedly selling fake vaccination cards.
