PolitiFact Names RFK Jr.’s “Campaign of Conspiracy Theories’ as 2023’s ‘Lie of the Year’

In its ongoing editorializing of the news, PolitiFact has once more skipped objectivity in its reporting and opted to deal in the slanted yellow journalism of the days of Prohibition and sensationalized “news.”

This time it’s gone after Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and instead of doing independent, investigative news looking at Kennedy’s reasons for running for president, Politico is parroting press releases and lies coming out of the CDC’s vaccine files as its “research” and “scientific” proof of truth.

Coupled with vaccine makers’ veiled clinical trial reports, and conflicting secretive FBI files, the information Politico is choosing to fly with is equivalent to starting a 21st century war of corruption and public opinion.

Kennedy isn’t backing down, though. “Kennedy has sat for numerous interviews and dismissed the critics, not with the grievance and bluster of former President Donald Trump, but with a calm demeanor. He amplifies the alleged plot and repeats dubious scientific evidence and historical detail,” KFF Health News reports. In other words, they’re not strong-arming him into giving up.

And because he is standing behind what he says, Politico is awarding him the 2023 Lie of the Year.
