In a twisting of the screws aimed at clamping down on COVID shot hold-outs, Google announced that its employees will be put on leave and then fired if they don’t get the jabs by January 18, 2022.

The first step will allow 30 days of paid leave to give the employees a chance to comply. If they don’t roll up their sleeves by then, they’ll get up to six months of unpaid leave and, after that, they’ll be fired.

An internal Google memo shared with Daily Mail said, “Anyone entering a Google building must be fully vaccinated or have an approved accommodation that allows them to work or come onsite …  frequent testing is not a valid alternative to vaccination.”
