European COVID Vaccine Critic Dies Suddenly

A member of the European Parliament whose controversial positions included standing against the EU-Mercosur free trade agreement, opposing the use of glyphosate and resisting mandatory vaccination for European health care workers has died suddenly of a heart attack.

Michèle Rivasi was 70 years old. She was known as a fierce advocate for transparency in public institutions and government affairs, and had opposed the implementation of COVID vaccine passes.

According to Euractiv news, Rivasi had also spent part of her last time in office “investigating the so-called ‘SMS affair,’ which concerns suspicions about text messages exchanged between European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla about the negotiation of a contract for 1.8 billion doses of COVID-19 vaccines.”
