What is the Annie Appleseed Project 2017?

There are so many simple steps that can be taken to increase your chances of surviving and beating cancer. We want to help you make more informed treatment decisions.

The Annie Appleseed Project has been providing information on lifestyles, complementary and alternative Cancer therapies online since June 1999. One part of the mission is to report on educational cancer meetings so that others know what studies are being done and if changes are happening.  In October, we wrote a summary of The Truth About Cancer conference, held in Dallas, TX.  We‘ve been offering summaries of conferences and events for over 17 years.  You can find this on our website www.annieappleseedproject.org under Meeting Summaries.  Or visit our active Facebook page where we post studies and articles of interest almost daily.  ([email protected]).  You can opt in to our (more-or-less) monthly e-newsletter.

Another aspect is to help people begin to make healthier life choices.  We are not health coaches, we are Cancer Patient Advocates in an all-volunteer nonprofit.  But we study the evidence to bring to you.  Our 3 Steps 4 Health can be shared with your family members or friends who have not yet chosen to be healthy.  Step 1 is to Eat ONE more fresh fruit or vegetable every day.  Step 2 is to Take a Walk daily (can really be any type of physical movement you/they enjoy). Step 3 is to take 7 Deep Breaths when stressed, before treatment or bedtime.  This is the start of better health.

If you are currently receiving conventional treatment for any type of cancer, we have an evidence-based Handout for Reducing Toxicities.  It can be downloaded (FREE) from the Information by Cancer Types dropdown menu (top of our website page).  On that page is also (scroll down) a Handout specifically formulated for families of children in treatment.  Studies have shown that chemotherapy and radiation can damage children’s bodies in ways that may last for decades.  Many of the items we talk about in the Handout, are recognized by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) but too few Oncologists are aware enough.  Think of CoQ10 for heart protection, Turmeric/curcumin anti-inflammation and radiation-protective, daily exercise (at any level) and much more.

March 2-4, 2017 we will host our 11th Evidence-based Complementary & Alternative Cancer Therapies conference in West Palm Beach.  The cost for a 2 ½ day conference is $249 – includes 3 ORGANIC meals, giveaways worth $100, networking, interesting and informative Speakers, access to Exhibitors, and more.  Registration is required – visit our website www.annieappleseedproject.org for all information. (Professionals can receive CNEs or CEUS).  You can also reach us at (561) 749-0084 and speak to Ann F. (founder and president, Annie Appleseed Project).

Remember all we do (except the conference) is free of charge.  We try to answer all questions.  We wish you well.
