A study of 117,000 Welsh citizens shows that masking not only didn’t work during the campaign but that deaths and health care usage were higher among those who masked than those who didn’t.
COVID infection rates were also slightly higher among those who wore face shields, leading researchers to question masking policies. They concluded that a “lack of clear impact on infection rates raises questions about the success of shielding and indicates that further research is required to fully evaluate this national policy intervention,” BBC reported.
