Women with infertility may face a higher risk of heart disease, stroke, and other cardiovascular problems, especially if they are under 40 or have undergone fertility treatments. A new review of 21 studies presented at a major endocrinology conference in Europe found that infertile women had a 17% higher risk of heart disease and a 16% higher risk of stroke.

The data also showed that women who received fertility treatments had an 18% greater risk of heart issues compared to those who did not. Researchers believe infertility could be an early warning sign of future heart health problems.

While more studies are needed to understand the connection, experts say these findings highlight the need for earlier screening and prevention. Doctors hope this will lead to better support for women managing both fertility and long-term cardiovascular health.
