Civil Liberties Group Pens Letter Supporting the Unvaccinated

An Ontario Civil Liberties Association researcher and several fellow Canadian academics wrote “A Letter to the Unvaccinated” to support those who turn down the COVID-19 vaccine.

In the letter, the group addressed the “29% of Canadians who have not received a COVID-19 vaccine, and an additional 14% who have received one shot.” The group emphasized that the unvaccinated are “not alone,” and said medical treatment should be voluntary with informed consent.

The authors also said it is “reasonable and legitimate to say ‘no’ to insufficiently tested vaccines,” to refuse medical treatments and to fight mass vaccination in schools. Furthermore, the authors said the public should demand independent, “peer-reviewed studies not funded by multinational pharmaceutical companies” and question the preliminary vaccine trial results.

The letter is signed by Angela Durante, Ph.D.; Denis Rancourt, Ph.D.; Claus Rinner, Ph.D.; Laurent Leduc, Ph.D.; Donald Welsh, Ph.D.; John Zwaagstra, Ph.D.; Jan Vrbik, Ph.D.; and Valentina Capurri, Ph.D.
